Jewellery Care Guide

Our jewellery is made to last forever, but it benefits from being worn with care and being kept clean to keep it as beautiful as it was on day one.

We have developed a detailed Jewellery Care Guide to keep your jewellery in top-notch condition.

General Jewellery Care

  • Remove your jewellery first thing when you come home and wear it again as the last thing as you leave the next day.
  • Remove your jewellery before any physical activities such as exercising, swimming, household chores or heavy lifting.
  • Always put your jewellery on last, after applying creams and once your perfume is dried.
  • Avoid ultra sonic cleaners to ensure the diamonds, gemstones and pearls do not get damaged.

Jewellery Storage

  • Store in a cool, dry place, away from the sunlight.
  • Store your jewellery pieces in separate jewellery compartments or pouches to prevent scratching or tangling with other pieces.
  • Store your earrings separately as well - our soft jewellery pouch that comes with your earrings have two separate compartments.
  • When storing necklaces and bracelets, ensure the clasp is closed to avoid any tangling.
  • When travelling, ensure your jewellery is carefully stored. Use our soft pouch during your travels to ensure your pieces are kept safe.

Jewellery Care by Gemstone

Diamonds

  • Soak your piece in warm, soapy water for 10-15 minutes and then clean with a soft bristle toothbrush to gently remove any dirt or oils. Rinse in cool water and pat dry.
  • Avoid applying creams and perfumes after wearing your diamond jewellery to avoid getting them under the settings and keep them sparkling.
  • Can be cleaned with lint-free cloths.

Natural Gemstones

  • Use warm, soapy water with a soft bristle toothbrush to gently remove any dirt or oils. Rinse thoroughly and pat dry. Do not soak emeralds in the water.
  • Avoid applying creams and perfumes after wearing your diamond jewellery to avoid getting them under the settings and keep them sparkling.

Pearls

  • Avoid getting your pearls wet - you do not need to clean them as the natural oils on your skin will help maintain their lustre.
  • Avoid exposure to harsh chemicals such as perfumes, hairspray, sun lotion and household chemical. Even a mild detergent can damage a pearl
  • Do not store in a dry, hot environment to avoid cracking.
  • Keep away from sharp objects to avoid any scratches and store in soft pouches.
  • Apply any creams and perfumes before wearing your pearls.
